New Zealand flax weaving (raranga) is full of texture and colour, shapes and detail, and lends itself ideally for close up and macro photography. Being a traditional Maori art it is truly iconic and typically New Zealand. If you need a cultural context background for a slideshow or brochure, then some weaving in bright or natural colours might be perfectly suited.
The artwork is from my wife Wendy who is busy making her wonderful All Flax art works. Being married to a flax weaver has great advantages, in my case a continuing supply of great stock photos about this beautiful genre of arts and crafts! Every piece is unique and it truly never gets boring to discover or photograph new aspects of this highly versatile natural material.
Unless already attached with the photo a separate property release can be provided on request, as a guarantee that ownership of the copyright of these lovely photographed pieces won_qt_t be an issue when you use the photos commercially.
I will certainly keep updating this beautiful category over the years!
